Admire the "million-like" lotus painting at the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024

The 2024 Hanoi Lotus Festival has just opened at the Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space. The festival attracted attention with its lotus-filled scenery and many exciting activities, aiming to promote and honor the beauty and cultural values ​​of Hanoi, highlighting the unique value of lotus culture in the lives of Hanoians in particular and Vietnamese people in general.

At the festival space, the highlight is the "million-like" painting called Lotus Pure Land on display. The work Lotus Pure Land was created by artist Kim Duc in 2022. This is an excellent oil painting among many paintings with the same theme by the female artist.

Right from its debut at the first painting exhibition held at Quan Su Pagoda, Hanoi in 2023, the work received special attention from art lovers.

The first time it appeared on social media, the Lotus Pure Land work received millions of likes and tens of thousands of comments from many different countries such as China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia... Therefore, the work is also known by another name, the "million-like" lotus painting.

Sharing about the decision to exhibit at the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024, artist Kim Duc said that at first she was also worried because the open exhibition space, along with the sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy weather of Hanoi these days, could easily affect oil paintings, but with the desire to contribute a small part to share the joy with lotus lovers, she decided to dedicate a special space at the first Lotus Festival organized in Hanoi.

The painting Lotus Pure Land is displayed in a space filled with lotus scent. Viewers seem to be lost in a world of peace in their souls, forgetting all their worries. In the painting there is the sound of wind, love between couples, solidarity and neighborly love….

The work Lotus Pure Land is on display until July 16, at the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024.
