Ms. Hanh's husband had an accident and was injured while trying to remove old corrugated iron sheets from the temporary house to make a porch for the new house. Currently, Ms. Hanh cannot work because she has to stay home to take care of her husband who has a cervical spinal cord injury, a fracture along the C5 vertebrae, cervical spinal cord edema C3-C6 with sequelae of quadriplegia, closed chest trauma, and bilateral pulmonary contusions...
Without a job and no money to cover living expenses, Ms. Hanh’s family is facing a difficult life and needs the community’s help. Ms. Hanh’s two children are in school and are at risk of dropping out.
Clubs, teams, volunteer groups in the province, along with benefactors, associations, and organizations in the province and locality, donated money to support Ms. Hanh's family.
With the criteria of: medical examination and treatment; helping children go to school; building and repairing houses and supporting livelihoods, the program "Sharing the pain" has connected clubs, teams, volunteer groups and philanthropists to join hands to support the family with more than 137 million VND. This is a large amount of money, meaningful in both material and spiritual terms, helping Ms. Hanh have the conditions to continue treating her husband and raising her children.
After discussing with the family and local authorities solutions to help the family, the program's organizers agreed to allocate 30 million VND for Ms. Hanh to take her husband for a re-examination and treatment; 90 million VND to save for treatment and long-term living expenses; and more than 12 million VND to spend on Ms. Hanh's children's education.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled - Orphans and Poor Patients presented the mobilized amount of more than 23 million VND and presented the symbolic plaque of volunteer teams and groups to Ms. Hanh's family.
Associations and unions of Bu Gia Map district and Binh Thang commune give money to help Ms. Hanh's family.
The organizers of the program "Sharing the pain" donated more than 137 million VND to help Tu Thi Tuyet Hanh's family.
Witnessing the affection and love of the benefactors for the family, Ms. Hanh's daughter, Ha Tu Ngoc Huyen, was moved and said: "I would like to thank the program "Sharing the Pain" and the benefactors for helping my mother with this large amount of money. I would like to thank you, my family will spend a reasonable amount of money to treat my father and my siblings. I promise to try to study well so as not to let down the expectations of you, my uncles, aunts and brothers and sisters."
Ms. Hanh also expressed her emotion: “I would like to thank the program, the local government and the benefactors who have supported my family with more than 137 million VND. I am very happy and grateful for this kindness. I would like to thank the benefactors for opening their arms to help my family in difficult times.”
