According to initial information, at nearly 1:00 p.m. on January 13, a fire suddenly broke out at an empty lot with a lot of garbage located on Lien Khu 5-6 Street, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.
People in the area then shouted to pull the water pipes and mobilized fire extinguishers to put out the fire. However, the vacant land of about 300 square meters contained a lot of garbage and flammable materials, the fire quickly spread to the surrounding houses.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Binh Tan District Police and Fire Fighting Team of Area 4 mobilized 5 vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Authorities extinguished the fire shortly afterwards, successfully protecting surrounding homes.
According to local residents, at night, many people without awareness secretly bring garbage to this vacant lot to dump, littering, causing unsanitary conditions and polluting the environment. Local residents request that local authorities strictly handle the acts of littering here.
