House fire kills 3-year-old child in Lao Cai

At around 3:10 p.m. on October 22, a serious house fire broke out at the home of Mr. Sung Seo (Lang Co village, Phong Nien commune), causing the death of Sung AT (born in 2020).

The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit causing a house fire.

It is known that T.'s parents work far away, and he lives with his grandparents. When the fire broke out, he was sleeping in the house while his grandparents were away.

Bao Thang district police and Phong Nien commune authorities mobilized forces to extinguish the fire.

On the evening of October 22, Phong Nien commune leaders said they had mobilized local forces to rescue and support the family whose house was on fire. Currently, Bao Thang district authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
