In the province, there are currently 13 macadamia planting projects of 11 enterprises and investors approved by the province for investment policy, with a planting scale of 91,645 hectares. To date, the projects have measured and registered land ownership for 27,522 hectares, reaching 30% of the total area that must be measured. The total area of macadamia trees planted by the projects is 6,614 hectares, reaching 16% of the progress that investors committed to implement by 2023. 12 cooperatives and 157 macadamia cooperatives have been established in the region to implement the projects, with the total disbursed capital of investors to implement the projects being over 1,584 billion VND, reaching 10% of the total registered capital of the projects. In 2023, 7/13 projects have organized the measurement and land ownership of the project area of 6,929 hectares; 7/13 projects have organized the planting with an area of 2,394 hectares and 8/13 investors have arranged capital to implement the project of over 248 billion VND.
The progress of macadamia planting as committed by investors is still very slow , all projects are not implementing the annual planting volume according to the approved schedule in the approved investment policy. Of which, 4 projects have exceeded the planting time according to the approved schedule; 2 projects will expire in 2023; 6 projects will expire in 2025; 1 project will expire in 2028.
In reality, most investors find it difficult to mobilize capital to implement projects, so investing and expanding macadamia plantation areas is difficult. Carrying out legal procedures on land takes a long time, often encountering obstacles (land disputes, people in some places do not agree, ...) which affects the progress of land measurement and ownership, and makes it difficult to create core areas for project implementation.

At the conference, the relevant departments clarified and answered questions related to businesses and investors participating in the macadamia project, such as: Land issues, ownership (on the certificate and in the field); the issue of garden management and care (Muong Nhe, Tuan Giao) has not been given attention, many areas are left fallow; issues related to capital sources, varieties...
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do emphasized: Some macadamia projects still owe salaries. Commune-level authorities and specialized agencies of the district have not coordinated closely to resolve arising problems. Officials are afraid of making mistakes and do not dare to do things, instructions from specialized agencies are not drastic. Propaganda and mobilization work has not been effective, leading to low consensus among the people. Therefore, in the coming time, continuing to carry out the tasks assigned by the province and the steering committee, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities will coordinate with investors to continue to propagate policies and mechanisms, to create consensus among the entire political system (district and commune levels) and the people. Focus on handling and completely resolving land procedures (related to planning, reviewing and adjusting the planning of 3 types of forests). Focus on developing linked areas (investors, people) to create jobs and income for people. If the investor cannot take care of the existing garden, the district will have a plan to hand over the garden to the people to take care of... Enterprises and investors coordinate closely with the district and commune; develop plans and strategies to take care of the planted garden. Relevant agencies and working groups closely monitor the contents to have timely plans.
