Bac Lieu visits and wishes a happy new year in Cambodia and Laos

(BL-NQ) From April 8 to 10, 2025, Bac Lieu province organized 2 delegations of officials to celebrate the traditional Chol-chnam-thmay New Year in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the traditional Bunpimay New Year in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Accordingly, the delegation led by Comrade Ta Trung Dung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited and extended New Year greetings to Preah Sihanouk Province and Preah Sihanouk Sub-Region, Kingdom of Cambodia; the delegation led by Comrade Tran Van Ut - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to Bunpimay in Bolykhamxay Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

At the destinations, comrade Ta Trung Dung and comrade Tran Van Ut, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, wished good health to the leaders of Preah Sihanouk province, officers and soldiers of the Military Sub-region of Preah Sihanouk province and Bolykhamxay province. At the same time, they thanked the leaders and agencies of the two twin provinces, which have a traditional cooperative relationship, for the working delegation of Bac Lieu province.

On this occasion, the leaders of the three provinces also informed about the socio-economic situation, potentials, strengths and development orientations in the coming time. At the same time, they affirmed the special relationship and solidarity between the two countries and peoples through the periods of fighting against foreign invaders and the process of building and defending the Fatherland that the leaders of the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples have worked hard to cultivate.

On the occasion of the New Year's greetings to Preah Sihanouk province, Kingdom of Cambodia, the delegation of Bac Lieu province also visited the Vietnamese Consulate General in this locality.

The visit and New Year greetings of the two delegations of Bac Lieu province were a great success, contributing to further strengthening the solidarity, friendship and traditional cooperation between Bac Lieu province and localities of Cambodia and Laos, fostering the special relationship between Vietnam and the two neighboring brotherly countries.
