This spring rice crop, Cam Vinh commune (Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh) piloted the production of 5 hectares of organic rice variety DT39 in Ngu Que village field. Local authorities supported farmers to plant rice by machine.
Despite the cold weather on the morning of January 28, from early morning, people in Ngu Que village (Cam Vinh commune) enthusiastically gathered in the fields to drain water and level the fields of 5 hectares selected for the pilot project so that machines could conveniently plant rice.
For the people of Ngu Que village, this spring crop marks a change in production thinking. This is the first time that people have produced DT39 organic rice varieties of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company, but they do not need to incubate the seeds or directly sow them like in previous crops. The support of the transplanter has helped people shorten production time and free up labor.
The advantage of the DT39 rice variety of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company is that it uses completely organic fertilizers throughout the growth process, ensuring a balance of nutrients for rice cultivation. The time from planting to harvest lasts about 120 days, about 10 days shorter than traditional rice varieties.
According to local leaders, organic rice production will contribute to improving soil fertility. In particular, producers following organic processes will not have to come into contact with chemical fertilizers or chemical pesticides, thus creating a safe production environment, contributing to protecting the environment, people's health and safety for users.
It is known that, to produce organic rice variety DT39, the people of Ngu Que village will be supported by the local government with 50% of the cost of renting a transplanter and rice seeds (equivalent to 225 thousand VND/sao). It is expected that on January 28, the people of Ngu Que village will complete the transplanting of 5 hectares of organic rice.
Applying the transplanter to production, everyone in Ngu Que village (Cam Vinh commune) is excited, agrees to support and hopes that the locality will replicate it in the near future.
This initiative will open a new direction in production for Cam Vinh farmers in the following crops.
Organic rice fields are planted in neat rows.
Ms. Le Thi Hanh (Ngu Que village, Cam Vinh commune) excitedly shared: "This spring crop, my family grows 8 sao, of which 3 sao are supported by the locality to produce organic rice variety DT39 of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company. In previous years, my family spent a lot of time sowing, pruning... However, this crop has a transplanter so my family is much healthier. We are looking forward to the harvest and hope that the rice will have a high yield."
Using transplanters in production not only increases the rate of mechanization, reduces time and effort for farmers, but also improves the quality of planting, ensures high survival rate, quick rooting, and brings bumper crops.

This is the first time the locality has introduced the DT39 organic rice variety into production. Through our visits and learning from the localities, we have found that this is a rice variety with many outstanding advantages, high rice quality and price.
In addition, the use of transplanters in production has the advantage of reducing weeds, pests, reducing labor and improving crop efficiency. In addition, the commune also has a policy of supporting 50% of seeds and 50% of transplanter rental fees, so people are very supportive and excited. In the coming crops, the locality will continue to expand the production area and widely apply this transplanter production process."
