This pair of dragon mascots "twin dragons worshiping the pearl" was ordered by the People's Committee of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) to serve the people during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
Accordingly, each dragon mascot is 7.3m long and 4.3m high. The dragon body is shaped with a steel frame and nearly 2,500 PVC plastic panels, inside are placed LED lights to create color for this mascot at night.

In the colorful space of flowers, the pair of dragon mascots with majestic and imposing aura became the highlight attracting many locals and tourists to check-in even though it was not completed.
According to artisan Luong Anh, the creator of the pair of dragon mascots, the dragon parts were made at the workshop, then transported to be assembled at Ho Chi Minh Square (Quang Binh).

Although the installation has just been completed, the pair of mascots has attracted the attention of the people. Many people consider the pair of dragons beautiful and majestic.
With the pair of dragon mascots "twin dragons facing the pearl", Dong Hoi city authorities hope that Ho Chi Minh Square will be a destination attracting people and tourists to celebrate Tet. Thereby, promoting the image of Quang Binh in general and the rose city of Dong Hoi in particular.
