NDO - On the afternoon of November 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a Conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 34-CT/TW dated April 7, 2014 of the Politburo and Directive No. 25-CT/TU dated August 12, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on continuing to innovate emulation and reward work.
After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 34-CT/TW dated April 7, 2014 of the Politburo and Directive No. 25-CT/TU dated August 12, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on continuing to innovate emulation and reward work, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has led and directed party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to effectively organize and implement innovation in emulation and reward work and has achieved important achievements in many fields.
From 2014 to present, Party committees at all levels, together with the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, have proposed solutions to enhance the role of emulation work; especially continuing to consolidate and improve the quality, organizational apparatus and staff advising on emulation and reward organization work.
The city has launched emulation contents through the issuance of the Emulation Directive "Determination to successfully implement socio-economic development targets" each year and the emulation contents are associated with the city's annual theme on socio-economic development, associated with the emulation movement to build the Party and build the government with the motto of action "Solidarity, discipline, innovation, creativity, resolute action, aspiration for development".

The city rewards collectives, individuals and workers with outstanding achievements, directly contributing to timely and practical encouragement and setting examples for the masses.
Patriotic emulation movements always receive timely attention and direction from the City Party Committee and People's Council, the participation of the entire political system, and the active participation of all people, creating a spirit of solidarity, promoting the will of self-reliance, self-improvement, daring to think, daring to do, dynamism, and creativity of all levels, sectors, and cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
For emulation movements launched by the central government, Ho Chi Minh City always responds strongly, participates enthusiastically in emulation and has brought about practical and encouraging results.
The city's patriotic emulation movements have developed increasingly strongly in many fields, spreading among all classes of people. The emulation content is rich and the forms are vivid, and have been propagated and mobilized by a large number of forces to respond and participate.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Phan Van Mai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, assessed that Directive No. 34 is still valid today and needs to continue to be studied and implemented in the current context in accordance with the situation of the city, each industry and each locality.
“We need to do a good job of state management of emulation and rewards to properly evaluate, so that emulation must be substantial, effective, linked to the task of contributing to socio-economic development, contributing to improving and enhancing the quality of people's lives; rewards must be given to the right people, the right job, promptly, with the simplest procedures possible, must create a spread, create an atmosphere of competition among units and localities,” emphasized comrade Phan Van Mai.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee noted that each unit and locality needs to study and implement movements that create strong attraction and promote creativity to become a strong driving force to help the city develop breakthroughs in the coming time, with the immediate goal of completing the targets of the Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress; thereby creating the premise and energy to start a new term.
On this occasion, the conference also commended and awarded certificates of merit from the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee to 77 collectives and 25 individuals who had outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 34 dated April 7, 2014 of the Politburo and Directive No. 25 dated August 12, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
