NDO - On the evening of April 17, at the Ben Tre Provincial Cultural and Cinema Center, the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025; opening the series of activities "Gratitude of the Coconut Country - Aspiration to Reach Far" for the 2nd time in 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Be Muoi informed: The 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 in Ben Tre province will take place from April 17 to 19, with a series of activities revolving around the theme "Reading Culture - Connecting the Community". Activities in response to the Book and Reading Culture Day in Ben Tre province are rich, diverse and meaningful, such as: Artistic book stacking festival and book space display; map exhibition, book appreciation contest; 4th Ben Tre Province Robocon Contest in 2025; Science and Technology Innovation Contest; Author and work exchange program; thematic talks with the theme "Telling stories of the Great Victory Day"...

These practical activities not only create a useful playground but also contribute to spreading reading culture, nurturing a love of books and arousing the spirit of lifelong learning in the community, especially the generation of students - the future owners of the country.

In addition, the series of activities of the program "Gratitude of the Coconut Country - Aspiration to Reach Far" has a special meaning in promoting the image of Ben Tre homeland through cultural exchange activities and art performances, helping to spread the spirit of love for the coconut homeland to the Ben Tre community living, studying and working in Ben Tre province and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, domestically and internationally in general.

In addition, the program is a bridge connecting entrepreneurs and enterprises inside and outside the province to promote business and production development in the future, while linking with the activities and economic development of the province.

Through the program, funds mobilized from sponsorship sources of businesses and individuals will be used to support and contribute to taking care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances in Ben Tre province.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 scholarships to disadvantaged students, each worth 10 million VND. At the same time, the "Ben Tre - Aspiration to Reach Far" art photography contest in 2025 was concluded and awarded.

The contest had 755 photos from 97 authors participating. After being selected, 105 works entered the final round.

The organizing committee awarded one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 10 consolation prizes for outstanding works.

The first prize was awarded to the work “Construction Night” (Rach Mieu 2 Bridge) by author Nguyen Thuong Toan; The second prize included the works “Exported Coconut Mask” by author Nguyen Trung Hieu and “The Endless Land of Ben Tre Coconut” by author Bui Van Nghiep.

All 105 finalists will be exhibited in the event series “The Grace of Coconut Country - Aspiration to Reach Far” at the Provincial Cultural and Cinema Center from April 17 to 19, as well as activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
