A Tet flower stall in My Dinh (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) has just introduced to the public a 9-storey Phalaenopsis orchid pot called "Nine dragons competing for a pearl".
This orchid pot has the bottom part plated with 24K gold, the top part is made up of 2,686 branches of Dalat Phalaenopsis orchids with the main colors of white, purple and yellow, arranged alternately in layers.
The work is about 4m high and nearly 2m wide. The highlight is the basin below which is plated with 24K gold with dragon motifs.
According to Mr. Ngo Van Nghiep - representative of the production unit, the flower pot weighing more than 1 ton was made by an artisan from Thai Binh in 3 months.
To make this unique flower pot, the production unit needs 5 to 6 skilled workers working continuously for 3 months.
"Because the orchid pot is large, we need many people to arrange the flowers in the pot evenly and evenly on all levels," Nghiep explained.
Currently, this flower pot is being sold by the manufacturer for 3 billion 868 million VND.
Mr. Tran Quy Binh (46 years old, Cau Giay, Hanoi) was impressed by the meticulousness and ingenuity of this Phalaenopsis orchid pot.
"The orchid pot has a harmony between the pot and the 9 layers of orchids above, making it stand out and attracting many people to take pictures," said Mr. Binh.
In addition, the booth also sells many driftwood orchid pots with prices ranging from 20 to 100 million VND depending on size and design.
However, at present, the orchid market has not attracted many customers.
