(Dan Tri) - According to the petition, over the past 20 months, many reporters and editors of Can Tho Radio and Television have been owed royalties and business expenses, causing them to fall into difficult circumstances.
On March 25, a leader of the People's Committee of Can Tho City said that he had not received any official emergency petition from the collective of reporters, editors, and technicians of Can Tho Radio and Television Station (Can Tho Radio and Television Station) regarding the debt of royalties and business expenses for 20 months.
Previously, social networks spread an image of an urgent appeal for help, said to be from the Can Tho City Radio and Television Station, sent to the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.
According to the petition, the station's reporters, editors, and technicians have been owed royalties and business expenses since August 2023. This has made their lives difficult.

"For nearly 20 months, we have gritted our teeth and endured, suppressed our pain, and tried to understand the difficulties of the agency. But the silence and indifference have worn down our strength and drained our faith. Family life is in turmoil, we don't have enough money to spend, and we have had long sleepless nights worrying about making ends meet.
There were days when we had to starve ourselves to save every penny, and there were long nights of tossing and turning worrying about tomorrow's meals. Business trips that should have been a source of pride and responsibility now became a nightmare when we didn't have enough money for gas and transportation. We had to borrow money everywhere, had to run around for every penny just to complete the assigned tasks," the petition reads.
Also according to the petition: "The meager salaries are not enough to cover our living expenses, and the outstanding royalties and business expenses have caused us to fall into poverty and misery."
Regarding this petition, a leader of Can Tho Radio and Television Station told Dan Tri reporter that they have received the information. Regarding the handling direction, the unit will provide specific information to the press later.
According to this leader, the station still pays full salaries to staff, reporters, editors, and technicians at the beginning of the month. As for royalties, the station pays late.
