On April 18, the Cambodian News Agency (AKP) reported that Politburo member, Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to this Southeast Asian country from April 21-23.

According to a press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his visit, Mr. Wang Yi will meet with King Norodom Sihamoni, President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol will co-chair the 7th meeting of the Cambodia-China Intergovernmental Coordination Committee.
Mr. Wang Yi will also meet and hold talks with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea to discuss and exchange ideas to strengthen bilateral relations in many fields.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Wang Yi's official visit to Cambodia takes place at the right time when the two countries celebrate the 2024 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year, contributing to further strengthening the friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
The visit also further deepens the high-quality, high-level and high-standard Community of Shared Future relations, promotes the Diamond Cooperation framework, and promotes cooperation in regional and international forums, for the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
