Vinh Long province is located in the center of the Mekong Delta, bordering the provinces of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Can Tho, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang and between the two branches of the Tien and Hau rivers. Due to its location in the tropical monsoon climate zone, Vinh Long has two distinct seasons: the dry season (from December to April) and the rainy season (the rest of the time). The average temperature is 27 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperature around 36 degrees.

Vinh Long is one of the provinces with the largest area of ​​fruit orchards in the West. In addition, there are about 20 ethnic groups living here with many different religions, creating diversity in culture, cuisine and lifestyle. The province also has many historical and cultural relics.

Vinh Long does not have an airport but is very close to Can Tho airport, so visitors from the central and northern provinces can travel by air to Can Tho airport. Currently, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air both operate flights to Can Tho. Round-trip fares from Hanoi to Can Tho range from 2.5 million to 4.5 million VND, and fares from Da Nang to Can Tho range from 2 to 3.5 million VND.

By traveling by bus or personal vehicle, visitors will admire My Thuan Bridge (1 and 2), the first cable-stayed bridge and bridge across the Mekong River in Vietnam.

To increase the longevity, Mr. Thuong said that when buying coconut trees, they will be soaked in water for about a year, peeled, and then treated against termites. The coconut house complex creates a unique living space, close to nature, and connected to nature. Phuoc Hau Pagoda

Phuoc Hau Pagoda (Tam Binh District) is a spiritual tourist destination not to be missed in Vinh Long. This is a famous ancient temple. Except for the main hall, which was newly built in 1962 in a combined East-West architectural model, the other parts such as the central hall, the ancestral hall, the sutra library, and the stupa system all date from 1894.

The Dhammapada garden consists of 213 blue stone slabs, engraved with 423 sutras on both sides. The stone slabs are arranged in a layout simulating the Bodhi leaf spreading out in eight directions, symbolizing the Noble Eightfold Path. The center of the garden is a mountain with four statues of Buddha Shakyamuni. The front of the temple is built in the style of an ancient tower, with a seven-story tower model in the middle. The temple grounds are spacious with many ancient trees, creating a sense of sacredness mixed with the serenity of a place of practice. Located next to the Tra On River, visitors will always feel the gentle, relaxing atmosphere when coming to the temple.

The Jade Buddha Relic Pagoda is located about 7 km from the city center. The pagoda's stupa enshrines three Buddha relics that were brought back from Nepal and India by Venerable Narada Maha Thera (a Sri Lankan) in 1970. The Jade Buddha Relic Pagoda in Vinh Long is likened to a miniature ancient town because of its architecture imbued with the cultural identity of Vietnamese Buddhism. According to the abbot, the special thing about the pagoda is the two large dragon stone pillars at the Tam Quan gate, cast from a single block of granite, 9 m high, 1.5 m wide, and weighing about 20 tons, which are rare in the West.

The memorial site of late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet (Vung Liem district) covers an area of ​​1.7 hectares, including an exhibition house, an office building, a worship area, and a garden. This is a cultural project with an open, intimate space, showing respect and is a place for local people to play and entertain. The exhibition house has many documents, artifacts, and images showing the revolutionary activities of the late Prime Minister. Most special is the portrait of the late Prime Minister with a bright smile on the background of 15,000 photos about his life and career. This place is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tra On Floating Market

Along with Cai Be, Cai Rang, Ca Mau, Nga Bay, Tra On floating market, about 40 km from Vinh Long city center, is a traditional cultural feature of the West, attracting a large number of domestic and international people. Cai On has existed for more than a century and still retains many unique cultural features of trade of the people of the Mekong Delta. Vinh Long pomelo

Thanh Tra is a fruit with a yellow, round skin like a lemon. There are two types: sour and sweet. Sour Thanh Tra is usually round, has a thin skin, is dark yellow when ripe, and is easily bruised. Sweet Thanh Tra is long, has a hard skin, has a white powdery layer on the outside, and is light yellow when ripe. There are many ways to eat Thanh Tra, sour Thanh Tra is dipped in salt and chili, sweet Thanh Tra is soaked in sugar. The price of this fruit is about 50,000 VND per kilogram.
