At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the traditions and glorious feats of arms in 90 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam Militia and Self-Defense Forces. Over the 90 years of building, fighting and growing, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Militia and Self-Defense Forces, together with the Vietnam People's Army and the entire nation, have fought bravely and defeated all invaders, adding to the glorious history of building and defending the country. At the conference, delegates listened to the leaders of the District Military Command read the Speech commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Militia and Self-Defense Force's Traditional Day; and listened to the letter of the Minister of National Defense. 90 years ago, on March 28, 1935, the First Congress of the Indochinese Communist Party issued the "Resolution on Self-Defense Force" and this is considered the traditional day of the Militia and Self-Defense Force. Over the past 90 years, under the leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the Militia and Self-Defense Force has continuously grown and developed, making great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national defense and national construction.
