According to The Verge , League of Legends gamers in North America who intended to withdraw from the LCS have reached an agreement with Riot Games.

Earlier, the League Championship Series (LCS) community, represented by the LCSPA, announced a collective break from competition after Riot announced the release of amateur youth teams in the North American Challengers League (NACL) in the summer. Immediately after this move, Riot had to postpone the LCS by two weeks, but the company also said that it was prepared to cancel the entire summer tournament if the two sides did not reach an agreement.

After many days of sitting together, recently, the LCS Twitter page officially announced that the LCSPA, LCS and Riot teams have reached an agreement to continue the LCS Summer 2023 season on June 14. Accordingly, Riot and the teams have made concessions to ensure a more sustainable future for NACL and a fairer voice for gamers.

Additionally, the parties agreed to split $300,000 among the 10 NACL teams, a move that represents equality for players and teams, and a commitment to ensuring foreign players receive health care on their first day in the United States.

LCS Summer 2023 will begin on June 14, with a three-day schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday — instead of two days per week like the spring split.
