Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, children of the most beloved motherland

Poet Tran Dang Khoa said: Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are the children that our motherland loves the most. Whenever these names are mentioned, they are extremely sacred to the Vietnamese people.

He was present in Truong Sa very early, late 1975, early 1976. The book Sunken Island he wrote is all true stories.

His stories have touched generations of Vietnamese people since the book was published.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , he said that over the years he has given many talks on the topic of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa to students.

Year after year, wherever he went, the children of every generation were very excited. At the school he visited, the children even performed a play based on the story of martyr Hai Um in the book Sunken Island . The parents who attended that exchange also cried a lot.

He hopes that artists will continue to write about Truong Sa.

There are sacred sovereignty landmarks that no enemy can erase.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , poet Tran Dang Khoa said that during a visit to Truong Sa, he read a poem on a wall newspaper written by a soldier there that moved him deeply and forever engraved in his mind: "The waves are still not worn away/ A thousand years later, Truong Sa is still there."

"The poem is like a sacred oath of the soldier to protect the sea and islands, a sacred sovereignty landmark," said Mr. Khoa.

According to Mr. Khoa, sovereignty markers made of iron, steel and cement may one day be eroded.

But we also have other sovereignty markers, formed from the blood and bones of soldiers protecting the archipelagos.

Or the literary works, poems, plays, songs... about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are also another sacred sovereignty milestone that artists and writers have planted for Truong Sa and Hoang Sa.

These are sacred and extremely durable milestones, milestones that “waves cannot erode, enemies cannot erase”.
