Four Vietnamese universities are in the top 1,000 of the world university rankings, the most ever.
On June 28, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced the 2024 world university rankings. Vietnam has 5 representatives in the rankings, all of which are familiar names: Duy Tan University, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi National University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
However, there are significant changes in rankings among schools. Duy Tan University is ranked 514th, up 286 places from last year. This is also the highest ranking of a Vietnamese university in the world university rankings ever.
Ton Duc Thang University also rose 280 places, reaching the 721-730 group in the world. Meanwhile, two national universities are ranked 951-1,000, down 150 places compared to last year. Hanoi University of Science and Technology remains at 1,201-1,400, unchanged in its ranking.
