Training on State management of press and media in 2024

Over the years, information and communication work has always accompanied the development of the country, Dak Lak province as well as localities in the province, making an important contribution to the completion of socio-economic development targets assigned by the Party and the State. To achieve these results, the direct and active participation of those working in information and communication; spokespersons, information providers, journalists and reporters play a very important role in providing and conveying official information about the province, the industry, each field and locality to the people.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Truong Hoai Anh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province said that in recent times, the work of speaking and providing information to the press in the province has had positive changes, contributing to timely, transparent and effective information in all sectors, fields and localities, creating opportunities for the press and the public to access more fully official, useful, reliable and accurate sources of information. However, in recent times, in some units and localities, the work of providing timely information to the press has not been done well, has not been proactive, has not paid due attention to communication work, and has even avoided or not wanted to contact the media. The Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province hopes that the leaders and managers of the units and localities will proactively study and absorb the experiences and information provided and shared to apply well the work of speaking and providing information to the press; policy communication work at their units and localities; promptly update new knowledge, improve skills and expertise to thereby enhance courage, confidence, proactively coordinate with press agencies, help bring information and positive images of the province to be increasingly widespread, more comprehensive, effectively contributing to the socio-economic development of the whole province.

At the Conference, nearly 200 delegates were informed and shared by the reporter, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Oanh - Head of the Department of International Relations, Academy of Journalism and Communication, on a number of topics such as: Speaking and providing information to the press, communicating with the press; Skills and experience in contacting, speaking and providing information to the press; Handling media crises, the role of the press and media in handling crises; ways to handle and resolve media crises; Skills in implementing policy communication, handling information when implementing policy communication, especially on difficult issues with many different opinions...

The organization of the training conference aims to equip leaders of state administrative agencies and units with necessary knowledge and skills in speaking and providing information to the press, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of communication work, while also helping reporters and leaders of news agencies and newspapers in the area to clearly understand the provisions of law in journalism./.
