Overview of the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 2024 Quang Binh Province Digital Transformation Propaganda Grassroots Radio Contest

On October 25, 2024, the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Binh Province organized a summary and award ceremony for the 2024 Quang Binh Provincial Radio and Television Propaganda Competition on Digital Transformation. Attending the summary and award ceremony were representatives of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, press agencies in the province, the Department of Culture and Information; Centers for Culture, Sports and Communications of districts, towns and cities and authors and groups of authors who won prizes at the 2024 Quang Binh Provincial Radio and Television Propaganda Competition on Digital Transformation.

Comrade Hoang Huu Thai - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, Director of the Department of Information and Communications delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech at the award ceremony, Mr. Hoang Huu Thai - Director of the Department of Information and Communications - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest emphasized the role of the current grassroots broadcasting system in information and propaganda work on Digital Transformation - a field that is developing strongly, becoming an inevitable trend, having a profound impact on all areas of social life, opening up opportunities for countries to break through and rise up. In Quang Binh province, digital transformation is one of the key tasks specified by the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, term XVII, with Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated March 31, 2022 on digital transformation in Quang Binh province by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

In recent times, as the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation, the Department of Information and Communications has effectively advised on the tasks of building digital government, promoting digital economy and developing digital society in the province, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensuring security and national defense of the locality and the country.

To spread achievements, experiences, and good practices in implementing Digital Transformation, contributing to mobilizing the combined strength of all levels, sectors, and all classes of people in the digital transformation process, the Department of Information and Communications organized a grassroots radio contest to propagate Digital Transformation in Quang Binh province in 2024.

After two months of launching, in a short time, the contest has received enthusiastic encouragement and participation from organizations and individuals operating in the field of grassroots broadcasting at district and commune levels. The contest programs have demonstrated creativity, effort and enthusiasm in conveying propaganda messages about digital transformation in localities and units in the province.

Although this is a new topic that has never been organized for a competition, the authors and groups of authors have created many works with new issues of high topicality, honestly and objectively reflecting the events, typical examples, and solutions contributing to the successful implementation of Digital Transformation in communes, wards, and towns; proposing effective solutions in concretizing the policies and guidelines of the Party and State in implementing Digital Transformation to suit the locality. The Contest Programs are very rich in topics and reflection content; demonstrating the responsibility, passion, and enthusiasm in the propaganda work on digital transformation of grassroots propagandists.

Based on the quality of the works, and to recognize the efforts of the grassroots radio staff, who are the last line of the information and propaganda system closest to the people, the Organizing Committee has unanimously chosen to award 02 B prizes; 05 C prizes and 08 Encouragement prizes for the Programs participating in the Contest.

The 2024 grassroots radio contest on digital transformation is not only an opportunity for radio units to demonstrate their talents and exchange experiences, but also an opportunity to encourage and mobilize the participation of agencies, organizations, and all people in the province to join hands and accompany each other in the digital transformation roadmap. Through that, we all aim to build Quang Binh province to be increasingly developed, modern and sustainable in the digital age.
