Brigade 189 determines training according to the motto "Basic, practical, solid", breaking through into training "Basic, mastery, in-depth in exploiting and using weapons and technical equipment; improving the quality of cadre training" and strictly implementing "5 no's" in submarine training; focusing on "Good training, strict discipline, ensuring good techniques".

The 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade (Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City) set out 5 targets, including: Complete 100% of training and drill content well and excellently; provide correct and sufficient training content and time for all subjects; closely combine formal training with review and extracurricular training; improve the quality of physical training and sports activities for each unit and age group; ensure absolute safety.
