This afternoon, May 2, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong visited and presented gifts to the border posts: Cua Tung; Cua Viet Port; Trieu Van; Hai An and Squadron 2.
At the places visited, leaders of the units reported on some outstanding results in implementing the units' political tasks, combat readiness work, ensuring safety before, during and after the Lunar New Year; and taking care of cadres, soldiers and people in the area.
Accordingly, in 2024, officers and soldiers in units of the Border Guard force will always be united, perform well in training tasks, be ready for combat, and effectively deploy mass mobilization work, which will be highly appreciated by superiors.
During the Lunar New Year 2025, the units have fully prepared the regimes and standards for the troops; proactively advised and coordinated with the locality to organize for the people to enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year safely and economically; 100% of officers and soldiers are assured of their work mentality, ready to fight, ready to mobilize forces, determined to firmly protect territorial sovereignty, border security, search and rescue and successfully carry out all assigned tasks.

At the places visited, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong acknowledged and commended the achievements of the coastal border posts and squadrons in the past time, and encouraged officers and soldiers of the units to continue to unite, overcome difficulties, work with peace of mind, and complete all tasks well.
The Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in 2025, along with the whole country, Quang Tri province is focusing on implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus at all levels to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements of building a modern and transparent political system, for the rapid and sustainable development of Vietnam in the new era. Preparing well the conditions to successfully organize party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the coastal border guards and squadrons continue to coordinate with localities and relevant agencies to effectively combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, raise awareness among fishermen in complying with regulations when participating in fishing activities at sea, and coordinate to speed up and create favorable conditions for investors in implementing key projects and works in the area.
The Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also highly appreciated the models of the units in supporting the people and helping students in difficult circumstances to go to school. At the same time, he proposed a reward plan worthy of the achievements that the units have done well in the past time, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the army and the people.
In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of the year, the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent greetings of emulation and determination to win, wishing cadres, soldiers and their families a new year of peace, prosperity, and excellent completion of tasks in 2025.
