Ministry of Public Security donates nearly 3 tons of relief goods to Myanmar

On the morning of April 1, in the capital Naypyidaw (Myanmar), the relief delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security presented nearly 3 tons of medicine and medical equipment to Myanmar.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) - Head of the working delegation handed over these medicines and supplies to Mr. Sa Weli Frag, Director of the Disaster Management Department, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar with the wish to provide medical support to the friendly country to overcome this difficult period.

These medicines and equipment include antibiotics, digestive and flu medicines, basic health care equipment such as: blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, stretchers, bandages, gauze, antiseptics, etc., supplies to support epidemic prevention and control such as mosquito repellent sprayers, insecticides, etc.

Expressing sincere thanks for the support of the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security Relief Delegation, Mr. Sa Weli Frag said that he will immediately transfer this medical equipment to the Myanmar Ministry of Health to deliver it directly to difficult areas that are lacking medicine and medical supplies.

Previously, on the evening of March 31, during the rescue operation in Zabuthiri town, Naypyidaw capital, the working group also presented medicine and essential supplies to the local authorities there.

On April 1, the Ministry of Public Security's relief team continued to search for more missing victims in the rubble in isolated areas with difficult access in the capital Naypyidaw.
