On April 2, stocks increased slowly at the end of the session.

Closing the market, on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, VN-Index stopped at 1,317.83 points, up 0.5 points (0.04%); VN30-Index inched up 0.03 points, stopping at 1,376.94 points.

Continuing yesterday's upward momentum, after the opening hour, the market was green. At one point, the index representing the floor increased by more than 7 points, reaching over 1,324 points. At the end of the morning trading session, the VN-Index temporarily stopped at 1,322.84 points, up 5.51 points.

In the afternoon session, the market maintained its increase, but near the end of the session, the market's increase slowed down due to increased supply, especially the largest stock in the market, VCB, cooled down. Instead of contributing nearly 2.8 points to the VN-Index in the morning session, by the end of the session, this code only contributed 0.6 points, ranking second in the market. The biggest contributor was VIC with nearly 0.65 points.

The increase and decrease in stock prices were not too different. On the whole floor, there were 245 stocks increasing and 200 stocks decreasing. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price was 10 stocks and 17 stocks respectively.

The sectors that increased in points were slightly higher than the sectors that decreased. Among the sectors that increased, semiconductors, consumer goods and decoration, and software were the sectors that increased by more than 1%. On the other hand, no sector decreased by 1%.

Liquidity increased compared to the previous session but remained below VND20,000 billion. Foreign investors bought more than VND1,957 billion and sold more than VND2,665 billion.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the total transaction value reached nearly VND800 billion. At the end of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 238.13 points, up 1.72 points (0.73%) while the HNX30 was at 486.81 points after falling 1.1 points (-0.22%).
