
Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" launched by the Prime Minister, on March 25, localities in Binh Duong province simultaneously held groundbreaking ceremonies to build houses for poor households facing housing difficulties.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Phu Giao district, Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi emphasized: "The program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" is a policy with profound humanistic meaning, not only helping poor households, policy families, and households with housing difficulties to have a house, but also creating motivation for the poor to strive to improve their lives. This is also a clear demonstration of the attention of the Party, the State and the whole society, promoting the tradition of "mutual love and support", joining hands to care for and help those in difficult circumstances with housing to settle down and make a living".
Mr. Nguyen Van Loi suggested that Phu Giao district and localities, in addition to the state budget, need to step up mobilizing organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to join hands and contribute to effectively implementing the movement; strive to complete the program before June 30, contributing to effectively implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide.
According to the plan, in 2025, Phu Giao district will support the construction and repair of 21 houses for policy families, meritorious people, poor households, near-poor households... facing housing difficulties. The total cost is 2 billion VND, 19 new houses will be built, each house will be supported with 100 million VND; 2 houses will be repaired, each house will be supported with 50 million VND. Of which, Binh Duong province will support 550 million VND, the rest will come from the local Fund for the Poor, and from sources mobilized by benefactors.

In 2025, Binh Duong will build and repair a total of 455 new houses, of which each new house will receive support of 100 million VND; each repaired house will receive support of 50 million VND.
The Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Duong province informed that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025 will focus on target groups including: poor households, near-poor households and people in especially difficult circumstances.
It is expected that the budget to implement the above program will be approximately 32.5 billion VND. The number of houses eligible for new construction or repair under the program is nearly 21 billion VND and the number of houses with shared land titles is nearly 12 billion VND.
The funding source for implementing this program will be drawn from mobilized sources from businesses, organizations, individuals and contributions from officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the province; from the Fund for the Poor at all levels...
The People's Committee of Binh Duong province proposed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province issue an appeal to mobilize organizations, units, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers located in the area to support at least one day's salary, and at the same time, receive and coordinate with the standing agency to allocate funds from mobilized sources for implementation.
