Commending 10 outstanding collectives and 40 individuals in the emulation movement

This morning, July 16, the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union held a seminar to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) on July 28 (1928-2024) and commend 10 collectives and 40 outstanding individuals in the emulation movement for the period 2021 - 2024. The speech at the ceremony stated: along with the development of the workers' and civil servants' movement and the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union, over the past 95 years, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has always been closely associated with each historical stage of development of the working class, the Vietnam Trade Union organization and the history of the Provincial Party Committee.

Particularly for the Quang Tri Provincial Trade Union, which was established in 2006, at first the material facilities to serve the work were still difficult, but with the close attention and direction of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Trade Union, the coordination and direction of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, and the Vietnam Trade Union, through 4 congress terms, the Provincial Trade Union has gradually grown stronger.

Up to now, the whole province has 50 affiliated trade unions and 103 member trade unions. The activities of all levels of the provincial trade union have been innovated, increasingly going into depth, focusing on the grassroots, better performing the function of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Launching patriotic emulation movements has created a strong motivation to encourage union members to work enthusiastically and contribute.

Participate in introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission, strengthening the working class nature in the Party. Coordinate the organization of patriotic emulation movements associated with the celebration of major holidays and political events of the province and the country. Many trade unions have flexibly organized and creatively applied specific emulation movements suitable to the professional tasks of the agency and unit.

From the practice of emulation movements, in the past 4 years (2021-2024), the Provincial Trade Union was honored to receive the Comprehensive Emulation Flag from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen The Lap congratulated the outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement, and emphasized: besides the achieved results, the quality and depth of the emulation movement in some places are still limited, the role of the trade union organization is not clear, has not attracted and motivated the majority of employees to respond and participate.

Therefore, the patriotic emulation movement of the provincial trade union in the coming time needs to affirm its key role in orienting and leading the movement in the new situation.

Invest deeply in the emulation movement of self-study, training, and improving all aspects of qualifications, building a team of provincial-level cadres, civil servants, and public employees who are knowledgeable, steadfast in ideology, have good political qualities, professional, scientific, and technical qualifications, have a high sense of responsibility, are dynamic, creative, have clear ethics, patriotism, national pride, awareness of law compliance, and respect and service to the people.

Direct emulation movements to carry out assigned political tasks, promote administrative reform, serve the people and businesses, and take the satisfaction of the people and businesses as the measure of the emulation movement.

Regularly check, evaluate, summarize and review the implementation of the movement. Commendation and reward must be timely, objective, fair, transparent, and appropriate to the right person and achievement; focus on rewarding direct workers.

Organize emulation movements with practical and specific goals associated with the implementation of political tasks of each agency and unit and the socio-economic development targets of the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 5 individuals with many achievements in the emulation movement for excellent workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in the period 2019 - 2023.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises presented certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in participating in Party building in the period of 2021-2024. The Provincial Trade Union Executive Committee presented certificates of merit to 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and trade union activities in the period of 2021-2024.
