Yen Bai: Announcement of the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on reorganizing the Provincial General Hospital

On April 1, at the Department of Health of Yen Bai province, a conference was held to announce the decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on reorganizing Yen Bai General Hospital on the basis of merging specialized hospitals and personnel work.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh and leaders of the Department of Health presented the decision and flowers to congratulate the Board of Directors of Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital.

Attending the conference were Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Department of Health.

At the Conference, the leaders of the Provincial Department of Health announced the decision of the Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee on reorganizing the Provincial General Hospital on the basis of merging specialized hospitals.

Accordingly, from April 1, specialized hospitals including: Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Mental Hospital, Lung Hospital, Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation Hospital, Endocrinology Hospital will become units under Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital. This is a public health service unit under the Department of Health; under the direct management and direction of the Department of Health. At the same time, it is under the direction and professional guidance of the Ministry of Health.

Conference Scene

Regarding headquarters, facility 1: expand the Provincial General Hospital to the entire current Lung Hospital.

Facility 2: Using the facilities of 3 Hospitals (Obstetrics - Pediatrics, Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation, Psychiatry) and Clinics, managing and taking care of staff health, and renovating them into a common campus.

The Provincial General Hospital has the functions of medical examination, treatment, emergency, general, specialized, rehabilitation, organizing convalescence for patients for the people; organizing and implementing medical appraisal activities in the province; examining, managing, and providing regular health care for cadres.

The conference also announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the transfer and appointment of comrade Tran Lan Anh - Director of the Provincial General Hospital (before the merger) to hold the position of Director of the Provincial General Hospital (after the merger), under the Department of Health of Yen Bai province. The decision to appoint 6 Deputy Directors of the Provincial General Hospital was announced, including comrades: Dao Thanh Quyet, Nguyen Van Cong, Diem Son, Trinh Thi Thu Hoai, Nguyen Van Hung, Tran Van Quang.

At the same time, the decision of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Bach Xuan Thuy - Director of Lung Hospital to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, under the Department of Health of Yen Bai province was announced.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh emphasized: The merger of hospitals is a major, strategic policy, affirming the highest political determination as well as receiving the consensus and support from medical experts, leaders at all levels, all cadres, employees of the health sector and the people. The merger of hospitals is not simply a change and arrangement in terms of organization but also an opportunity to reorganize the health system in a more reasonable way, minimizing overlap in the implementation of medical examination and treatment activities; contributing to reform and improving the quality of health services; modernizing facilities, medical equipment, training high-quality medical human resources and promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation of health, towards the goal of building a provincial General Hospital to assume regional functions.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh requested that the appointed leaders of the Hospital immediately get to work, focus on leading and directing the timely resolution of the work of the new General Hospital, ensuring unified, synchronous and effective operations, best meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.

Affirming that this is a big change, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with the consensus, determination, efforts and sense of responsibility of the comrades in the Board of Directors of the Department of Health, the Board of Directors of the Hospital and all hospital staff, employees, the provincial health sector will overcome all difficulties and challenges so that the merger will take place smoothly, quickly and bring practical results to the people.

He hoped that the Board of Directors of the Hospital as well as each officer, civil servant and employee of the hospital would uphold the spirit of responsibility "Devoted to patients, creative in work, completing tasks well", contributing to the cause of protecting and caring for people's health, together building a strong hospital, better meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people.
