K Hospital has officially spoken out about information spreading on social networks about cancer patients being "drained" to the last penny during treatment here.
According to the representative of K Hospital, recently, on a number of social networking platforms, many videos have appeared posted under the account name Tiktok DTT (ID: @xx.thanh.xx) and a number of other accounts with distorted, slanderous and spreading information with the purpose of distorting, slandering, and defaming the image of K Hospital and the personal reputation of doctors and medical staff.
According to press information from K Hospital, from July 15, 2024 to the morning of August 16, 2024, the above account posted many videos specifically naming K Hospital and a number of doctors and hospital managers; the content stated in the videos are all fabricated, slanderous, defamatory, and intentionally insulting the image and reputation of the hospital.
This not only affects the medical examination and treatment activities and daily management at the hospital, lowers the prestige of individuals and the collective organization of medical staff, but also causes confusion among all patients and the community concerned about the case due to negative, provocative, and inciting information.

A representative of K Hospital informed the press on August 20, affirming that up to now, the organization, management and practice of medical examination and treatment have always been under the close supervision of the Ministry of Health, ensuring full and strict compliance with Vietnamese laws, operating regulations and regulations of relevant agencies.
K Hospital practices according to professional standards and medical ethics, price policies and publicly lists medical examination and treatment service prices according to regulations of the Ministry of Health.
Therefore, the actions and statements for personal motives and purposes have intentionally slandered, fabricated and distorted the above truth to incite public anger towards K Hospital and a boycott mentality, lowering the reputation of K Hospital.
To ensure that patients feel secure when receiving treatment at the hospital and to protect the hospital's image and reputation, the hospital has sent a report and denunciation of the violation to the relevant management agencies and central and local authorities where the incident occurred. Currently, the incident is being handled according to legal procedures to quickly clarify and reach a conclusion.
Regarding the details of the incident, the representative of K Hospital stated that on the morning of August 17, 2024, Ms. D.TT went straight to Tam Hiep K Hospital, branch 2, to distribute tickets, calling on patients and their families to come and get charity food, and filmed patients undergoing treatment.
This violates the regulations on patient privacy and regulations on organizing charity gifts of the Hospital, affects patients and order in the hospital grounds and has not been approved by the K Hospital (meanwhile, the K Hospital and the Ministry of Health arrange a kitchen to provide free lunch and dinner for patients, over 500 meals/day at the K Hospital, Tam Hiep facility; arrange more than 200 beds, air conditioners, hot and cold showers, laundry for patients registered at the K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility).
The incident was discovered by the security team and Ms. D.TT was invited out. However, she acted like a fool, sitting on a chair in the hallway, loudly cursing, insulting, challenging the security guards, causing disorder in the hospital grounds.
K Hospital promptly reported to Tam Hiep Commune Police and Thanh Tri District Police to coordinate with Thanh Tri District People's Procuracy to promptly prevent Ms. D.TT and her husband from causing disorder at Tam Hiep K Hospital and to make a record of the incident, record a diagram of the scene with the participation and witness of relevant parties to carry out steps in accordance with legal procedures.
After the incident occurred on August 17 and August 18, 2024, Ms. D.TT continuously created videos and clips with false content about being assaulted, accompanied by slanderous and vulgar words, mentioning the leaders and medical staff of K Hospital and the Ministry of Health, using all the most insulting words to slander and lower the reputation of K Hospital.
The incident has caused much confusion and outrage in the community and society, seriously affecting the operation of K Hospital, hindering medical examination and treatment at the Hospital. The Hospital has sent a report to the leaders of the Ministry of Health and is actively coordinating with the authorities to investigate and handle the matter to soon have a conclusion.
All the events of the incident were recorded by images and cameras at the campus of Tam Hiep K Hospital, branch 2, and were extracted and submitted to the authorities, along with full records of the scene, proving that the information being spread is false, fabricated, and slanderous.
In recent times, the Hospital has actively implemented activities to support patients. Patients from poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged families have been supported with charity meals, gifts, cash, etc. Patients have been guided through procedures and documents to receive support in accordance with regulations.
Volunteer and charitable activities at K Hospital facilities are still being actively and effectively coordinated with organizations and philanthropists according to approved professional procedures to ensure humanistic and social significance, nutrition, food safety and health protection for cancer patients undergoing treatment.
The hospital is always ready to listen and receive positive feedback from patients and their families about existing problems, from which it can evaluate and continue to promote or improve, and implement activities more suitable to actual conditions.
However, posting videos on social networks with one-sided, baseless and unsubstantiated content and information, leading public opinion to incorrect opinions and comments, will affect the psychology of cancer patients undergoing treatment.
Therefore, the hospital wishes to receive everyone's opinions through the hospital's official information channels: Patient reception department at 3 facilities; Hospital hotline; Suggestion box at hospital departments.
The incident has been received and handled by the authorities in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the law. Any words, actions of assisting, supporting, sharing and spreading distorted, slanderous, and fabricated information without a conclusion from the authorities, causing serious damage to the reputation and honor of individuals and organizations of K Hospital will be fully responsible before the law.
Previously, the Tiktok account DTT posted content about cancer patients suffering immensely while being treated at K Hospital, branch 2. Accordingly, when patients come here, they are "sucked" to the last penny, using any service costs money, wanting to receive radiation therapy costs 200,000 VND.
