At the headquarters of the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee, there were 2 cases of citizens registering to reflect and make recommendations to the Provincial Party Secretary, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Lap, in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri Town, denouncing the leaders of the People's Committee of Ward 1, Quang Tri Town for covering up for party members who built illegal works, violating the law; Mr. Nguyen Manh Huong, at 217 National Highway 9, denouncing the party member status of the leader of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Office of Dong Ha City for abusing his position in performing official duties. However, the content of the denunciations of the 2 cases did not fall under the case of citizen reception by the Provincial Party Secretary.
According to Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW of the Politburo and Regulation No. 33-QDi/TU of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, the content of the Provincial Party Secretary's citizen reception is to receive people's reflections, recommendations, complaints and denunciations about signs of moral and lifestyle degradation and signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" of cadres and party members; other reflections, recommendations, complaints and denunciations, especially mass, complicated, prolonged complaints that affect security and order that have been resolved by the government or competent agencies within their authority but the people still do not agree.
However, to ensure the rights of citizens, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung requested departments and branches to report in detail the content of the incident and the handling process. In addition, he requested that competent agencies enhance their responsibilities and review the handling process of complaints and denunciations within their authority and within the time limit prescribed by law.
At the same time, the Department of Justice is requested to direct the Lawyers Association and the Provincial Legal Aid Center to support citizens in exercising their rights to petition, complain and denounce in accordance with the law, contributing to ensuring citizens' rights.
