From August 1, people can register for medical examination outside of working hours at Bach Mai Hospital from 5-9pm every day.

Every day, Bach Mai Hospital receives from 8,000 to 10,000 patients for examination.
Associate Professor Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said that people can register for examination through the hospital's App or hotline to make an appointment. Every day, Bach Mai Hospital has 2,500 appointments booked by phone or online to spread out the time, to avoid patients coming to the hospital at the same time.
It is expected that patients who see a doctor outside of working hours will be able to receive health insurance payments according to regulations. In addition, the hospital will continue to open many examination rooms from 5-5:30 am every day to limit the number of people queuing from 4 am waiting for examination.
For the diagnostic imaging department, the hospital has arranged different time slots for outpatients and inpatients. Specifically, the morning is for outpatients, inpatients in the evening, at night, even 2am.
According to Associate Professor Dao Xuan Co, expanding examination hours will solve the problem of patients gathering in large numbers in the morning.
Currently, on peak days, Bach Mai Hospital receives from 8,000 to 10,000 patients for examination. Patients come from many provinces and cities across the country, even many patients from remote areas. Therefore, by expanding examination hours, people do not have to wait long and can be examined quickly, have early results, and can go home the same day.
In particular, the Hospital does not print prescription papers for patients, thereby saving procedures and time for patients, reducing printing and paperwork costs for medical facilities.
"Patient records are synchronized on the machine. Departments and rooms are connected, doctors have grasped the medical examination and treatment process, costs, and prescriptions of each person. Therefore, there is no need to print out the prescription. In the future, the hospital will provide codes to patients and will be completely paperless," said the Director of Bach Mai Hospital.
