On the evening of October 20, the high-quality train SE19 with newly completed carriages began to be put into use. The staff working on this train were equipped with white uniforms, creating a more elegant and formal look than the old blue. Photo: Hoang Anh.
Security chief Vu Dang Minh said that the salary of those working here is also expected to be 20-30% higher than the average. In addition, the staff selection process is very thorough, that is, meeting height and weight standards, then needing to be trained in foreign languages.
Inside the train cars, the usual plain walls are gone, replaced by large-scale paintings of famous landscapes and landscapes in Vietnam.
Along the corridors of each carriage are landscape paintings of many cities. The borders of the window frames and doors are painted bright yellow to create a highlight.
At the front of each car are drinking fountains for passengers.
Semi-automatic door system has been installed. Passengers will press the button, the door will open and then close automatically when someone has passed through.

The space inside the cabin has 4 soft beds. When not full, the passengers can put the two beds above their heads to create ventilation. The air conditioning system on the train is also designed with an air outlet control button so that passengers can adjust the temperature and wind direction according to their needs.
Each cabin is equipped with a basket of snacks and drinks such as cakes, water, tea or coffee. In addition, QR codes are posted in an easy-to-see location to help customers find and buy regional specialties of the 34 provinces and cities that the railway passes through.
Louisa Reimann (from Germany) happily shared with her relatives the space inside the cabin. “I originally planned to book a flight to Da Nang to save time, but now I think this was the right choice. The space of this ship surprised me,” said Louisa.
Sam Meakin, James Gee and Michael Clowes (from the UK) shared that they were very satisfied with the ticket price. “In the UK, we traveled from London to Manchester, a 3-hour journey that cost more than 70 pounds per person. The ticket price we booked for the Hanoi - Da Nang route was only half that,” said Sam.
Dominik and Teresa (UK) were delighted to experience taking the train to their next travel destination. “The space is very clean and comfortable. I think I will have a good sleep tonight,” Dominik shared.
The 2-bed compartments are designed with additional leather backrests, and the ticket price is several hundred thousand higher than normal.
At the head of each bed is a welcome letter, with the name of the guest who booked the room, just like in a 5-star hotel room.
Each cabin also has a small flower basket, creating a friendly and cozy space.
The toilet area is newly installed with a hot water tank and bright white ceramic equipment. In addition, the ship also applies a technical solution to eliminate odors from waste tanks, bringing a clean and luxurious feeling.
Train SE19 departs from Hanoi in the evening at 7:55 pm and arrives at Da Nang station at 12:15 pm the following day. Train SE20 departs from Da Nang station at 5:30 pm and arrives at Hanoi station at 11:50 am the following day. Passengers on this train are assigned a waiting room and have their own exit and boarding route.
