On April 4, in Da Nang City, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held the closing ceremony of the first "Skillful Civil Affairs" Contest for the entire army in 2025 in the Southern region.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, chaired the closing ceremony of the contest. The contest was attended by 16 teams representing units under the Ministry of National Defense.

The highlight of the contest is the emphasis on practicality. The knowledge, skills, typical mass mobilization models, and good practices presented in the contest all originate from and are closely linked to reality. The theatrical performances are very lively, creative, and rich, combining content and art smoothly and harmoniously, rich in Vietnamese cultural identity.

The contest aims to raise awareness, responsibility and capacity for leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of mass mobilization tasks of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders and political agencies at all levels; to propagate, disseminate and exchange new models, good, creative and effective practices, and to build "good mass mobilization units".

Thereby, fostering skills, knowledge and experience in mass mobilization work for specialized cadres in particular and cadres, soldiers and workers of the entire army in general.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee commended, rewarded, and awarded certificates of merit and emulation flags from the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to the units that won excellent prizes. The Vietnam Coast Guard team won the excellent prize of the first "Skillful Civil Affairs" Contest for the entire army in 2025.
