Previously, a clip over 2 minutes long was circulated on social media, recording a man and a woman beating a ride-hailing driver on Le Duan Street (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2024, before New Year's Eve. In the clip, the woman punched and stomped on the victim's head. Immediately after, a man ran up and kicked the tech driver in the head. A woman who tried to intervene was also assaulted by the man.

Immediately after the clip was shared on social networks, Ben Thanh Traffic Police and Ben Nghe Ward Police are investigating and extracting camera footage to handle the incident.
