This morning (April 17), Barca hosted PSG at home in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the 2023/2024 European Cup. Despite winning 3-2 in the first leg and leading 1-0 after 12 minutes of play in the second leg, coach Xavi's team still lost 1-4 and 4-6 on aggregate to be eliminated.
The turning point of the second leg of the quarter-final was Araujo's red card in the 29th minute, which opened the door for PSG's incredible comeback. Speaking to the media after the match, coach Xavi affirmed: "It's useless to talk about this match because the referee ruined everything.

Not only Barca, but also La Liga's other representative Atletico Madrid was eliminated after losing to Dortmund in the second leg with a score of 2-4. Previously, in the first leg, Atletico Madrid won the German representative with a score of 2-1.
According to the 2023/2024 European Cup schedule, at 2:00 a.m. on April 18, the remaining two second-leg quarter-final matches will take place, which are the matches between Bayern vs Arsenal and Man City vs Real Madrid.
