Bau Trang National Scenic Area (Bac Binh District) is a famous place visited by domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Binh Thuan, because of its wild and natural beauty.
However, recently, this tourist destination has had some impacts that encroach on the landscape, as well as some tourism activities such as off-road vehicle business that can potentially cause insecurity for tourists. At the press conference organized by the Provincial People's Committee recently, many journalists raised questions related to how to protect Bau Trang landscape as well as overcome existing problems, in order to build Bau Trang as a safe and friendly destination for tourists to visit.
Answering questions at the press conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in recent times, the unit has regularly presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies, units and localities to promote propaganda work, aiming to raise awareness of joining hands to protect and promote the value of Bau Trang National Scenic Landscape, which is the common responsibility of relevant agencies, units, organizations and individuals. First of all, businesses and individuals operating in the scope of Bau Trang National Scenic Landscape, people and tourists visiting Bau Trang National Scenic Landscape. Every year, the unit proactively develops a plan for periodic and unscheduled inspections of culture, sports and tourism to promptly detect, rectify and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate regulations on service business activities and acts of encroachment, affecting the original elements constituting the Bau Trang National Scenic Landscape.
Currently, the Department is reviewing and researching legal documents to develop a plan to open training courses for motorcycle and car instructors, as a basis for granting certificates of eligibility to operate at Bau Trang Scenic Area. It has instructed establishments to complete procedures to become enterprises, currently 3/4 establishments have been converted to enterprises, such as: Bau Trang - Minh Thai Eco-tourism Area, Bau Trang U&ME Tourist Area, Trieu Trang Tourist Area (Bau Trang - Nhu Trung Eco-tourism Area is completing procedures). In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Official Dispatch No. 2266 on the request to strengthen measures to ensure safety for tourists for tourism products that may affect the life and health of tourists sent to the Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations; organizations and individuals doing tourism business. Including guidance on documents and procedures on safety measures when trading tourism products that affect tourists according to the provisions of Decree No. 168 dated December 31, 2017 of the Government.
In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to monitor and remind the implementation of records and procedures on safety measures when trading tourism products that affect tourists in accordance with regulations. In that spirit, the Department recently issued Official Dispatch No. 3153 on improving the quality of tourist services, in which it requested the Department of Culture and Information of districts, towns and cities; Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations and tourism service businesses to review technical means and operating procedures of adventure tourism services. At the same time, it will strengthen the dissemination to tourism businesses, establishments and individuals doing adventure tourism business, and Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations in the locality to promote a sense of responsibility in their work to contribute to building safe destinations for tourists...
