The press contributes to social stability and development.

At the conference, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized that after 11 Congresses, under the close leadership and direction of the Party, the management and attention of the State, the Journalists Association has continuously grown in both quantity and quality, with nearly 25,000 members - journalists operating in 63 Journalists Associations of provinces and cities, 20 Inter-Associations and 218 affiliated Associations.

The Vietnam Journalists Association has truly become a "common home" that gathers and unites journalists nationwide, creating a useful and practical professional environment for all levels of the association; promoting professional movements, preserving the passion for the profession, promoting the spirit of dedication of members; motivating journalists to propagate the successful implementation of the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, promptly reflecting the country's great and comprehensive achievements in all fields, contributing to building a journalism that is combative, humane, professional and modern for the benefit of the country and the people.

At the conference, Comrade Do Thi Thu Hang, Head of the Professional Department of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that on average each year, the National Press Awards attract the participation of nearly 2,000 press works, screened and selected from tens of thousands of published and broadcast press works submitted for the competition. The evaluation and awarding process is always carried out seriously, strictly, objectively, transparently, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the award from the preliminary round to the final round.

Every year, over 100 of the best press works in various press categories are awarded A, B, C and Encouragement prizes. The decision to award prizes, especially the higher prizes, is made very strictly and carefully considered. The prestige of the National Press Awards is increasingly enhanced.

At the conference, delegates from the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities focused on analyzing and evaluating the results achieved over 17 years of organizing the National Press Awards as well as presenting current difficulties, obstacles and shortcomings. Delegates also proposed and presented solutions to innovate the activities of the Awards to suit the digital transformation trend, further enhancing the position of the largest specialized award in the country.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates at the conference. He acknowledged that the work of supporting the creation of high-quality journalistic works has created consensus and competition among the press, creating works with depth, reflecting all aspects of social life. Many professional training courses, many seminars, workshops, practical work experiences, and exchange of working experiences are held every year. Short-term training courses in the form of learning while doing have helped members update their knowledge and approach modern journalism methods and technologies.

The articles are increasingly combative, educational, and highly oriented towards political ideology, contributing to the stability and development of society, more clearly affirming the role, responsibility and duty of journalists...
