According to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the flower-laying ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in the Enlightenment Square was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, former Vice President Truong My Hoa, a delegation led by Mr. Phan Anh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, along with a large number of Vietnamese communities and students living and studying in Saint Petersburg and other cities in Russia. On the Russian side, there were Chairman of the City's Foreign Affairs Committee Evgeny Grigoriev, local leaders, people and teenagers.
In a solemn atmosphere, the heroic national anthem of Vietnam resounded in the land where, more than 100 years ago, Uncle Ho first set foot in Petrograd (present-day Saint Petersburg) to find a way to save the country.

The attendees of the ceremony respectfully offered Uncle Ho fresh bouquets of flowers, expressing their respect and admiration for the great leader of the country and people of Vietnam. Songs and dances performed by Vietnamese students studying in the Russian Federation praised President Ho Chi Minh and his love for his homeland and country.
In the morning of the same day, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and former Vice President Truong My Hoa and Embassy officials, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union visited High School 488 of Vyborsky District, where the Uncle Ho Museum is located, which will be inaugurated in 2023.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi presented the Ambassador's certificates of merit to teachers for their contributions in introducing Vietnam and certificates of merit to students of the school who actively participated in learning about Vietnam.

At exactly 12:00 on May 19 (local time), Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son fired a special shot from the historic fortress of the ancient capital of Saint Petersburg to celebrate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
One of the events that attracts the attention of Saint Petersburg residents and tourists is the famous Troitsky Bridge on the Neva River, which is lit up with red and yellow lights symbolizing the colors of the Vietnamese national flag.
This is the 7th consecutive year that the Saint Petersburg City Government has coordinated with the Vietnamese side to celebrate the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, beloved by the Vietnamese people, a great friend of the Russian people.
This year's celebration is also part of a series of events within the framework of Vietnam Week in Saint Petersburg, which will last from May 16 to May 22, 2024.
