Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment promptly informs about developments of tropical depressions and storms

According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of July 14, the tropical depression (TLD) entered the East Sea; at 4:00 p.m. on July 14, the center of the TLD was at about 18.2 degrees North latitude; 119.8 degrees East longitude, in the sea area east of the North East Sea; the strongest wind is level 6-7, gusting to level 9. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the TLD will move in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of 10-15 km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the east of the North East Sea.

To proactively respond to storms and minimize damage, the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - National Committee for Incident and Disaster Response and Search and Rescue requires the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of provinces, cities, ministries and branches to regularly and closely monitor the developments of natural disasters and storms; strictly manage vessels going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of natural disasters and storms to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

Dangerous areas in the next 24 hours: from latitude 17.5 to 21.5 degrees North latitude, East of longitude 116.5; in the next 48 hours: North of latitude 18.0, East of longitude 113.0 (dangerous areas are adjusted in forecast bulletins).

The Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of provinces, cities, ministries and branches are ready with forces and means for rescue when requested; review activities at sea and aquaculture to have a plan ready to respond to the impact of natural disasters and storms.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment closely monitors, forecasts, warns, and promptly informs about the developments of natural disasters and storms to proactively deploy response measures.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted countries in the region to request that they create conditions for fishermen and fishing vessels to take shelter and provide support and rescue when requested.

Ministries and branches, according to their assigned functions and tasks, direct measures to be ready to respond when bad situations occur.

Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, central and local media agencies increase information and communication on the developments of natural disasters, storms and the direction of response and overcoming consequences.

In addition, the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of provinces, cities, ministries and branches organize serious on-duty shifts and regularly report to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the National Committee for Incident Response, Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue.
