Kinhtedothi - On the morning of March 15, the Hanoi Women's Union coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to organize the 2nd "Healthy and Beautiful Capital Women" Walking Race in 2025.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising and the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8; the 60th anniversary of the Three Responsibilities movement; the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee, towards "Vietnam Sports Day" on March 27.
Attending the program were Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien; representative of the national coordinator, Small Grant Fund, United Nations Development Program UNDP; President of the City Women's Union Le Kim Anh.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union Pham Thi Thanh Huong said that this year's "Capital Women for Peace and Development" Festival was organized to arouse pride in the tradition of the international women's movement, the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women; the tradition of the thousand-year-old civilized and heroic Capital, the City for Peace;
At the same time, it spreads the spirit of solidarity, connection, integration and development between Hanoi women and international women, expressing the aspiration for a peaceful and developed world. At the same time, it creates an exciting atmosphere to continue competing to promote the role of women in the new era of the nation. The program is also an opportunity to honor the beauty and ingenuity of women in the capital and women from other countries.
The second “Healthy and Beautiful Capital Women” walking race attracted nearly 1,000 male and female athletes aged 18-60 and supporters, contributing to the motivation for the mass sports movement and physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho.
The Permanent Vice President of the Women's Union said that within the framework of the program, there will also be an art festival called "Ethnic Colors" with the participation of nearly 300 actors, models, officials, women's union members, students in the capital, officials of embassies, and members of friendship organizations, contributing to honoring the beauty of Ao Dai fashion, the fashion of ethnic groups in Vietnam and some countries.
The exhibition space displays creative products from traditional craft villages, artisans, entrepreneurs, and products from the skillful hands of women in the unique cultural beauty of countries taking place over 2 days, March 15-16.
The Organizing Committee believes that the meaningful experiences from the Festival Program “Capital Women for Peace and Development” in 2025 will contribute to spreading the message of peace, love for Hanoi, the will and aspiration of women to rise up in the new era of the nation; at the same time, promoting the image of the Capital as a safe, friendly and attractive destination to domestic and international friends.
