Berries
You can add some berries to your bowl of oatmeal to maximize the cholesterol-lowering effects of your breakfast.
Dr Patel explains that blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are packed with antioxidants and fibre, which can help block bad cholesterol, making it less likely to form plaque in the arteries.
Nuts
Another breakfast food that is good for cholesterol levels is nuts, thanks to their high content of good fats they can improve cholesterol levels.
Almonds and walnuts are high in unsaturated fats, fiber and plant sterols, creating a powerful combination that can help control cholesterol.
Sugar-free yogurt
