Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Nearly 21 billion to take care of Tet for the poor

On the afternoon of January 20, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province informed about the plan to organize care for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the area on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.


According to Mr. Trinh Hang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, this Lunar New Year, the Front, the government and functional agencies, and member organizations of the province plan to mobilize, visit, and support poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the province. Of which, it is expected to award 30,240 gifts, with a total amount of 20 billion 952 million VND.

According to the plan, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front plans to award 200 gifts, with a total amount of VND 260 million, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will award 6,461 gifts and visit 12 sponsoring facilities, with a total amount of VND 8 billion 640 million. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at the district and commune levels plan to award 23,579 gifts, with a total amount of over VND 12 billion from the Fund for the Poor (with funding).

Mr. Trinh Hang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that through taking care of the poor during Tet, it will continue to affirm the attention and care of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front for the people's lives, especially the poor, people in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people and orphans in difficult circumstances.

In 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province responded to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the program of building solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and the emulation movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind" launched by the Prime Minister.

The provincial Front also implemented the program "Millions of loving hearts - Thousand happy homes", with the result that the whole province of Ba Ria Vung Tau mobilized and transferred 2 billion VND to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households with housing difficulties.
