ASV Airports Taxi leases 500 VinFast electric cars from GSM

As a long-standing enterprise operating in the field of passenger transport at domestic airports and seaports, ASV is at the forefront of the green mobility trend by cooperating with GSM to switch to using electric vehicles for passenger transport services.

Specifically, ASV Airports Taxi leases 500 VinFast VF e34 cars from GSM to provide customers with green and smart mobility services. According to the plan, GSM will hand over 500 cars in phases, of which the first 100 cars are expected to be delivered in May 2023. The lease term is 36 months from the date of vehicle handover, and can be extended depending on actual usage needs. It is expected that ASV's electric taxi service will officially go into operation in May 2023.

With a scale of up to 500 electric taxis operating at airports, customers traveling to airports across the country will have a new travel option with green, smart, healthy and environmentally friendly electric cars from ASV Airports Taxi, in addition to the Green SM Airport Taxi currently being deployed in Hanoi.

Previously, other businesses such as Lado, Ahamove, and En Vang have also signed cooperation agreements with GSM to electrify passenger transport services in Lam Dong, Binh Dinh, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and other provinces and cities across the country. ASV's decision to use electric vehicles for airport taxi services will promote the development of the green revolution not only in breadth but also in depth.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of ASV Company said: “The signing of the contract to lease 500 VinFast VF e34 vehicles with GSM is of great significance, a major turning point in ASV's development strategy when officially switching to electric vehicles for passenger transport services. We believe that electric vehicles with many advantages - no smell of gasoline, no engine noise, no dust, equipped with many smart technologies - will enhance the customer experience, at the same time, significantly reduce emissions from vehicles, contributing to environmental protection. That is not only ASV's commitment to customers, a continuous effort to improve service quality but also the mission of the enterprise, joining hands to realize the national goal of combating climate change".

It is expected that GSM Company's SM Green Taxi will be present in Hue in May 2023 and present in at least 5 provinces and cities across the country with the target of nearly 20,000 vehicles this year. Meanwhile, ASV's electric taxi service will quickly be present at major airports including Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat in May 2023.
