"Apple is actively developing its first foldable smartphone. In addition, the company will also expand into the tablet field," the source revealed.
Earlier this January, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said that Apple would introduce a foldable iPad in 2024. The device is expected to come with a carbon fiber stand.
"A foldable iPad with a completely new design will be the next notable tablet model that Apple will launch in 2024. In particular, there will be no other iPad versions released in the next 9-12 months," Kuo tweeted.
Apple is also said to be working with LG to create an ultra-thin glass cover specifically for the company's foldable screen products. It is currently unclear when this material will appear on an iPhone or iPad.
Apple has yet to reveal any information about foldable devices. However, many sources indicate that the tech giant is planning a series of foldable products, including iPhones, iPads and MacBooks.
