Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the participation and active contributions of WRI leaders in the discussion sessions at the conference, especially the contents related to energy transition, green urban development and building sustainable food systems.
At the same time, it affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives high priority to green growth and sustainable development. The Vietnamese Government has been implementing the National Strategy on Green Growth for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, with the goal of building a low-carbon economy, aiming for net zero emissions by 2050, while promoting the development of renewable energy and sustainable transport.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and welcomed specific cooperation projects that WRI has effectively implemented in Vietnam in supporting climate resilience index assessment for coastal cities in the Central region, mapping water resource risks in the Mekong Delta, and researching low-carbon transport models in Da Nang.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked WRI to continue accompanying Vietnam in the process of realizing the zero net emissions roadmap, promoting the green transition in large cities, sharing environmental risk assessment tools, and supporting the development of the carbon credit market and green financial ecosystem in Vietnam.
WRI President and CEO Ani Dasgupta affirmed that as a key partner of P4G, WRI wishes and is ready to continue to accompany Vietnam in expanding cooperation activities in priority areas such as climate change and sustainable urban development.

For his part, Mr. Ani Dasgupta expressed his deep impression of the P4G 2025 Summit organized by the Vietnamese Government, affirming that the Summit was extremely successful and was an important milestone in promoting global cooperation on green growth.
Mr. Ani Dasgupta also affirmed that WRI, as a key partner of P4G, wishes and is ready to continue accompanying Vietnam to expand cooperation activities in priority areas, such as climate change and sustainable urban development.
