The culinary contest "Fragrance of Dien Bien" attracted 18 teams, including 6 restaurants, agencies and 12 community cultural tourism villages from districts, towns and cities in Dien Bien province to participate.

The competition was exciting and attractive. The chefs, whether professional or amateur, showed off their talents to prepare traditional dishes typical of each region and each ethnic group in the community of 19 ethnic groups in Dien Bien. With simple, common, easy-to-find and naturally available ingredients, the teams skillfully prepared to bring to the competition special dishes. In addition, the dipping sauce "Cham Cheo" is made from fresh galangal, roasted dried chili, garlic, coriander, and Mac Khen, which many tourists find strange and enjoyable every time they taste it. Each dish is introduced in detail by the chef from the ingredients, preparation method, presentation meaning as well as health benefits when using these dishes. Thereby, expressing the unique culinary culture of each ethnic group through each dish.
The organization of the culinary contest "Fragrance of Dien Bien" aims to contribute to preserving, promoting, honoring and promoting the traditional, unique and attractive culinary culture of the ethnic groups in Dien Bien province; at the same time, developing typical and unique dishes to serve tourists.
