On March 27, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in An Thi District held a conference to evaluate the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district by 2025.
An Thi district has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee to have a total of 159 households eligible for support in building and repairing houses in 2025. Of these, 53 households will be newly built and 106 households will be repaired. The beneficiaries include 63 poor and near-poor households; 80 households of meritorious people, relatives of martyrs and victims of Agent Orange; and 16 other vulnerable households. As of March 25, 48 households have started construction and repair. The district aims to start construction simultaneously before March 31, striving to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before May 31.
To ensure the set progress, the district will promptly allocate the support capital from the higher level and arrange the district's budget to support households. Urging and guiding localities to speed up the implementation progress, supervising the construction and repair of houses to ensure the quality of the works and compliance with regulations. Continuing to mobilize social resources to provide additional support to households that have completed the construction and repair of houses beyond the support level prescribed by the province and district. Mobilizing working days contributed by union members and members to support households. During the implementation process, localities and specialized sectors will report difficulties and problems for timely resolution.
