According to the An Phu District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the 2025 public investment capital plan allocates VND316,275 billion, with 48 project categories. In the first months of the year, the district has accelerated the implementation of key projects and works, such as: embankment to prevent landslides on Thay Ban canal (An Phu town); completion of traffic infrastructure for the free migration residential area in Khanh An commune; upgrading of rural traffic roads between Vinh Hau and Vinh Loc communes... and a number of key projects to create development momentum.
Phuoc Hung Secondary School has a total investment of about 25 billion VND, including the following items: Construction of 6 new classrooms, renovation of 7 classrooms into 8 functional rooms, student parking lot, power supply system, peripheral lighting, fire prevention and fighting system, etc. Up to now, the construction progress has reached about 35% of the project volume, expected to be completed and put into use by the end of December 2025.
For Khanh An “A” Primary School, a new block of 10 classrooms, an administrative block and learning support, a parking lot, a fire prevention and fighting system, lightning protection, medium voltage lines and transformer stations, and a number of other auxiliary works were built. The total investment is over 22.2 billion VND, completed and put into use. Khanh An Boarding Secondary School alone has a total investment of 26.6 billion VND, with construction reaching about 35% of the volume; expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025...
An Phu district leaders inspect the construction progress of Phuoc Hung Secondary School
After the inspection, Chairman of An Phu District People's Committee Trang Cong Cuong and Vice Chairman of An Phu District People's Committee Tran Thanh Son requested the construction units to speed up the progress of implementation so that the works and projects can be completed and put into use soon. During the construction process, it is necessary to ensure labor safety, progress and quality. In the immediate future, a system of barriers and warning signs will be installed to ensure the safety of students studying at Phuoc Hung Secondary School.
For the Bac Dai market house project (Nhon Hoi commune), the specialized sector should quickly inspect and accept, arrange for traders to buy and sell in an orderly and stable manner. For the Khanh Binh communal house renovation and repair project, the An Phu district investment and construction project management board should receive opinions from the beneficiary unit and discuss with the specialized sector of the province for appropriate adjustments.
Regarding the construction of the inter-commune East Coast Road, after checking the construction progress of the Hai Hum culvert, Rach Re culvert, Vinh Loi bridge, and Can Tho bridge, the leaders of An Phu district requested the construction unit to arrange more workers to speed up the progress. At the 14th session of the An Phu District People's Council (term VII), Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the An Phu District People's Council Phung Minh Tan requested to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital and effectively implement important projects and programs in the district. All levels, sectors and localities in the district must focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the 2025 public investment plan, allocating and accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital right from the beginning of the year; enhancing the role and responsibility of leaders in directing and removing difficulties and obstacles in the disbursement of public investment capital, site clearance work, in order to promote the implementation progress, especially important projects, national target programs and socio-economic development programs in the district. Strengthen management, supervision, improve investment efficiency, resolutely adjust capital for projects that are behind schedule and have low disbursement. Regularly review and have plans to completely handle ineffective, slow-progressing, and committed-violating projects. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of land, minerals, environment, natural disaster prevention and mitigation; remove obstacles and difficulties in purchasing medical supplies and equipment to ensure the health care needs of the people.
Along with that, An Phu district strengthens strict management of financial resources, increases revenue, and saves expenditures. Focuses on directing to ensure State budget collection according to assigned estimates; strictly manages and exploits revenue sources, effectively implements land use rights auctions according to plan, especially land areas that create resources for the district budget to invest in the period 2021 - 2025.
