On the evening of November 21, information from the A Xan Military and Civilian Medical Clinic in Tay Giang district said that it had just provided emergency aid to 8 patients in this locality suspected of poisoning after eating wild mushrooms.
According to initial information that morning, two people from A Rang village, A Xan commune, Tay Giang district, while working in the forest, picked mushrooms.
At 3:30 p.m. the same day, they brought the mushrooms home and cooked soup for 6 other people to eat.
Nearly an hour after eating the mushroom soup, all 8 people had symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, loss of consciousness, and severe abdominal pain, so they were taken to the A Xan Military and Civilian Medical Clinic for emergency treatment.
Here, doctors at the A Xan Military and Civilian Clinic actively performed emergency treatment to save the patient's life by washing the stomach and administering IV fluids.
After emergency treatment, the patients were out of danger, 5 people's health was temporarily stable, 3 people were still being monitored.
By the evening of the same day, information from the clinic said that 4 patients had been sent home, while 4 others were staying for observation and would likely be discharged tomorrow.
