66 commune-level health stations are deployed to improve the quality of primary health care.

BHG - Implementing the pilot project to improve the quality of primary health care at commune health stations in Ha Giang province, phase 2023 - 2025 according to Decision 544, dated April 7, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee (Project 544), the whole province will improve the quality of primary health care at 66 commune-level health stations. In the phase 2023 - 2024, the pilot project will be implemented at 33 stations; in 2025, it will continue to be implemented at 33 more stations.

According to the assessment of the Department of Health, after 2 years of implementing the Project, the health stations have seriously implemented it according to the industry's instructions; disease prevention and control work has been carried out in accordance with regulations; pregnancy management and health care for the elderly have been given attention; coordination and implementation of activities on population, family planning, and ensuring food hygiene and safety have been maintained, implemented regularly and received support from local authorities and people.

In addition, equipment at medical stations under the Project continues to be invested and upgraded, basically meeting the requirements for medical examination, treatment and initial emergency care. The number of medical examinations and treatments has increased compared to the previous year; human resources at the stations are maintained and ensured.

During the implementation of the Project, people have enjoyed more health service benefits, received better attention and care for their health, had more diverse health check-ups during the year, and reduced referrals to higher levels; services and medicines always meet the needs of the people in a timely manner.

For 33 health stations implementing quality improvement in 2025, the Department of Health continues to direct the implementation of operational innovation, gradually improving the professional capacity of doctors and medical staff at the stations; strongly implementing support activities and increasing the number of doctors working in communes; focusing on investing in facilities and equipment for the stations; strengthening propaganda for all classes of people about the model, effectiveness and activities implemented at the stations according to the Project.
