On the evening of July 15, in Dong Hoi City, the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province held the Award Ceremony of the "Literature and Artistic Creation Campaign to Celebrate the 420th Anniversary of the Establishment of Quang Binh Province; the 75th Anniversary of Quang Binh Uprising Day and the 35th Anniversary of the Re-Establishment of the Province".

The campaign was launched on November 28, 2023, announced and disseminated to the Literature and Arts Associations in 62 provinces and cities and specialized associations. After the contest, it received nearly 400 works from 122 authors, including 40 authors from 10 other provinces and cities nationwide.
The works have focused on exploiting traditional themes, revolutionary war themes and hot contemporary themes using the artistic language typical of each field. Through artistic images, many works have affirmed the unique cultural values of Quang Binh.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 55 prizes to authors with winning works including 5 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 16 C prizes and 24 consolation prizes with a total prize money of more than 400 million VND. The participating works include genres of music, photography, cultural research, poetry, short stories, paintings, memoirs...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that this was the first time the province's literary and artistic creation campaign had been held on a large scale nationwide. As a result, more than 120 authors from 10 provinces and cities with nearly 400 works in 6 majors of literature and art participated.
“The literary and artistic creation campaign with the theme of praising the heroic fighting tradition, creative working spirit and traditional cultural beauty of the homeland and people of Quang Binh, clearly reflects the vivid reality of life in the beloved homeland of Quang Binh,” said Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Hai Chau presented awards to authors specializing in photography.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan, Quang Binh is a place where cultural sources intersect; where many great poets of the country stopped and composed immortal works, passed down to the ages. In modern times, many talented writers, poets, and artists from all over the country came to fight and serve in the war on the Quang Binh land, the front line, and they left behind many works that will last through the years.
In particular, there is a class of artists who are children of the homeland with many valuable works that have become the pride of the people of Quang Binh. Therefore, these works will be a brick contributing to the house of Quang Binh literature and art, a small stream contributing to the great flow of Quang Binh culture.
